“Recent study finds all 50 states benefit from domestic fracking production.”

Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development

CRED’s claim is supported by many reports showing just how vital shale development is to the U.S. and state economies. For example, one study found that shale development has a net economic benefit for local communities, raising wages, housing prices and employment. Other reports show how industries associated with oil and gas, such as manufacturing and exports, bringing in billions of dollars in investment and thousands of jobs. For example, over 500,000 jobs are supported by pipelines nationwide, while more than 136,000 jobs are supported by liquefied natural gas exports. Further, the wealth of natural gas from shale development has brought about roughly $185 billion in investment in chemical industry projects. Fracking truly is a win for the economy and the United States as a whole!
