LE-OH NO! Across the country asthma rates have fallen in communities with oil and gas development. In fact, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Texas actually has the lowest asthma rates in the country at 6.7 percent – 40.7 percent and 37.4 percent lower than Vermont and New York, respectively, two states that have passed fracking bans.
